Hello and welcome to the late summer blog,
This golf season has been a hot one. I can’t help but think about my days on the golf course when I was about 10 years old. I used to get dropped off at the course in the AM, and then picked up in the late evening. I played a great deal of golf in those days, along with bothering the assistant Golf Professionals. A great story hit my email this summer that really warmed my heart.
A ten year old golfer named Taylor Beckstead made a hole-in-one this past June, 15th. He holed the 118th par 3 at Bear Creek Golf Course in Utopia, Ontario with his 5 hybrid. What really caught my attention on this was not that he played with Founders Club, but that his Dad does too. This is exactly why we make Jr sets, and teen sets! Seven years ago while I was attending the London Golf Show, I noticed how many Dads were taking up the game of golf to spend time with their child. What a revelation that was to me. As a parent of a 9 year old, it warms my heart to see parent and child on the course together playing this great game. Below is a picture of Taylor. Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for reading,
